Y'all Means All

In the wake of Saturday's executive order on immigration the day after Holocaust Remembrance Day, crowds gathered this afternoon in Nashville in front of the offices of Senators Bob Corker and Lemar Alexandar. Impassioned immigrants and refugees shared their personal stories, and stories of their family members waiting to come here or fearful of their current status. Other speakers included religious leaders, lawyers, Nashville Mayor Barry, Vice Mayor Briley and Senator Yarbro.

A grassroots rally, mostly through social media united 1500-2000 people in solidarity with other rallies and protests around the country. Crowds started at the corner of West End and Murphy and continued behind the sidewalk down West End. Handmade signs such as No Ban No Wall, No Hate No Fear Refugees Are Welcome Here, Let Them In, Love Thy Neighbor, Come for One Come for Us All, and We Are Better Than This waved to honking motorists as similar chants were echoed by groups throughout.
